Convener of the #RevolutionNow protests; Omoyele Sowore has been released, Thursday evening by the Department of State Security (DSS) after spending 126 days in detention.

Sowore was arrested and charged to court by the Nigerian government for planning a nationawide tagged #RevolutionNow.
According to Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu, the DSS had no justifiable reason to continue to hold the defendant in custody, after she had signed the warrant for his release.
Sowore’s lawyer, Femi Falana, has also confirmed the development, adding that the DSS also paid Sowore a fine of N100, 000.
Sowore first met his bail on November 6 but he was not released. He has been in DSS custody since his arrest in Lagos on August 3.
