Editi Effiong, who is one of the producers of the movie Up North, has narrated how his son died and how his death has affected their family.
He narrated how he and his wife were told their son Bibi will not survive when he was born in 2013 at 24 weeks. But the boy “survived RSV and an induced coma. And came home after 9-months in NICU.”
However, two years later, in December 2015, his son, who had grown into an active, “loud”, “happy” child, fell ill. He died shortly after.
Editi, who is the founder of Anakle, tweeted: “I take photos almost everyday. If I go through my photo album, I can tell everything that happened in a year. On December 10, 2015, I took this photo. I was rushing home to a sick child. I didn’t take any photos for days after that. Our son died early the next morning.”
Editi went on to narrate how his son died and how his death has affected their family since then.
