Every year since 2017, Accelerate TV, through the Accelerate Filmmaker Project, trains, empowers and gives young filmmakers a platform to actualise their dreams. This year’s edition produced five talents; Alfa Farouk, Tosin Ibitoye, Olabisi Akinbinu, Adetola Films and Miriam Dera.
Miriam Dera’s “Scars” is among the 2019 top five finalists. The short film is about a reclusive young lady, tasked with making a pitch for a client at work, but she has to fight years of psychological torture and go ahead with the presentation or lose her job.
The movie stars, Harriet Akinola and Tope Olowoniyan.
